After graduating from Sunhwa Arts High School, cellist Hee Jung Keal
entered the Düsseldorf National University of Music in Germany, where she
completed the Vor-Diplom, Diplom, and the highest level of chamber music
performance courses.
Selected as an artist for the German Yehudi Menuhin
Scholarship Foundation 'Live Music Now,' Hee Jung Keal held
invitational solo recitals in Emmerich am Rhein, Geldern, and Kleve in Germany,
and received acclaim from the German newspaper Rheinische Post as a 'delicate
performer.' She served as the principal cellist of the Neue Kammer Orchester
Düsseldorf in Germany. After returning to Korea, she started with an
invitational solo recital at the Youngsan Art Hall and continued with
performances commemorating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between
Korea and Australia in Sydney and Melbourne, as well as performances at the G20
summit, the Nuclear Security Summit, and the Korea-China-Japan summit. She is
currently active as a member of the Ensemble TIMF and the Fullim Ensemble and
is a visiting lecturer at Sunhwa Arts High School.
