Bassist Ki Tae Bae entered the National Conservatory of Music in Saarbrücken, Germany, as a prodigy and graduated from the professional performer course. He then graduated from the highest performer course at the National Conservatory of Music in Munich, Germany, and completed the highest performer course in chamber music. He studied under Wolfgang Harrer and Nabil Shehata, who are called masters of the bass world, and his solo and chamber music performances with them were broadcast on the German Saarbrücken Broadcasting Station. His solo recital in Tokyo, Japan, was also a success, receiving enthusiastic praise from the local audience.
Ki Tae Bae, who was the first to enter the highest chamber
music performer course at the National Conservatory of Music in Munich,
Germany, with a contrabass, received guidance from Hariolf Schlichtig, Reiner
Ginzel, and Nabil Shehata. He performed at music festivals such as the
Odeon-Konzert-Reihe München and the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts, as well as
many invitational chamber music performances. He also attended master classes
with Prof. Rinat Ibragimov (principal player of the London Symphony Orchestra),
Herbert Mayr (principal player of the Vienna Philharmonic), Prof. Klaus Stoll
(principal player of the Berlin Philharmonic), and Prof. Michiniori Bunya,
developing his musical knowledge and talent through exchanges and performances
with various musicians.
Active as an orchestra and chamber music performer in major
cities in Germany, Spain, and Switzerland, he was selected as a scholarship
student by the Siemens Foundation (Siemens Stiftung) in Germany. He also
excelled in contemporary music, and his performances at the contemporary music
festival “Prolog” (Festival Neue Musik "Prolog") were broadcast live
on radio throughout Germany. As a solo bassist invited by Opus21musikplus, he
was actively involved as a solo and chamber music performer at contemporary
music festivals held in Munich, Germany, at venues such as the
Prinzregententheater, Carl-Orff-Saal, and Reaktorhalle. He also built a wide
range of performance experience, serving as a guest principal with the German
Landes-Jugend-Symphonie-Orchester Saar, the German Homburger Symphony
Orchestra, the German Georgische Chamber Orchestra, and the German Index
Ensemble.
